Trip Itinerary
Welcome to Oslo, the capital of Norway! Upon your arrival, you’ll be met and privately transferred to the train station. You will board a train bound for Myrdal, offering you the first taste of Norway’s picturesque scenery.
Once you arrive in Myrdal, you’ll step aboard the Flam Railway, one of the world’s steepest railway lines, known for its breathtaking views over the fjords. As you venture down the mountain by train, you’ll reach the charming fjord town of Flam, where you’ll be privately chauffeured to your hotel. This evening, you have the option to soak in a wood-fired hot tub while admiring the sunset over majestic peaks. Dinner will be served at your hotel’s fine restaurant.
Start your day with a half-day hiking tour led by your local host. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the magnificent Turlid waterfall and enjoy a light packaged lunch along the way. Alternatively, if you prefer a more relaxed day, you can simply take in the beautiful natural surroundings or explore the area by bike.
Today, you’ll board a ferry that will take you to Bergen. Along the way, you’ll pass through the point where Aurlandsfjord connects to the Sognefjord, a magnificent natural wonder. Upon reaching Bergen, you’ll be privately transferred to your hotel.
Embark on a city tour of Bergen, known as the gateway to the fjords. Your private guide will lead you through the historic Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll then ascend Mount Floyen on a funicular ride to the top, where you can take in stunning panoramic views of Bergen and its archipelago.
Next, you’ll visit the Schotstuene, where the Hanseatic League, a powerful medieval trade guild founded in 1350, used to gather during winter. Your tour continues with a visit to Troldhaugen, the former home of composer Edvard Grieg, which is now a museum displaying artifacts from his life and famous compositions, including “In the Hall of the Mountain King” and “Morning Mood,” written for Henrik Ibsen’s play “Peer Gynt.”
The rest of the day is yours to explore Bergen at your own pace.
After breakfast, you’ll be privately transferred to the airport for your departing flight.
